Support for Myeloma Patients

The Weill Cornell Medicine Myeloma Center holds free myeloma support group meetings virtually the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month from 1:00-2:00 pm. These groups can offer patients a safe and supportive environment to connect with fellow myeloma patients and find out new information on managing health and concerns associate with the disease.  You can find additional information about upcoming meetings on our social media channels, as well as by calling the Myeloma Center or asking your providing physician.

Support for Amyloidosis Patients

The Weill Cornell Medicine Myeloma Center holds free amyloidosis support group meetings virtually every month. These groups are led by a medical oncology social worker, as well as Dr. Cara Rosenbaum, an amyloidosis specialist at the Myeloma Center. These groups provide a safe space for amyloidosis patients to come together and learn, ask questions, and connect with others experiencing the same concerns. General Cancer Support Group

This group provides a safe and supportive place for those with any cancer diagnosis and offers the opportunity to connect with fellow cancer patients and gain different perspectives on coping strategies and mindfulness.

Please note that this group is not open to caregivers or other loved ones.

Nutrition Counseling

The Weill Cornell Medicine Myeloma Center team can refer patients to the Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital team of registered dietitians that offer outpatient counseling on nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices, and more. These dietitians specialize in a variety of areas, including oncology, and are able to work with patients to find a plan that best fits your needs.
